“This is a story about courage, and adventure, love and friendship, forgiveness, family, and lessons in relationship with trust. It is clever and kind, and it will leave you at peace." - Author Note
‘Grace in October’
A charming story about love and the power of forgiveness.
For everything that life had seemingly done to distance him from the truth of love, through grace and time, October met his match in fate and was destined to be shown otherwise. Surrounded by a small community of loving hearts, all of which who were no strangers to struggle and heartache, October and his mother, June, were reminded daily what the power of love was able to accomplish through open hands, acceptance and conversations lined with hope.
"I wanted to write a story that would only expand in love; I had this vision of a dot or a circle that would start off small and at whatever rate it chose to grow, it would do so, but only grow, only evolve, it was quite clear that it didn’t have any interest in forming a line and simply going up and down; and so that’s what I did. 'Grace in October' is, for me, a story about the power of forgiveness, and how much the will of life opens up to us once we allow the breeze of love to brush our heart." – Author note
‘Some Time on Earth’
A BOOK OF POETRY AND WRITING TELLING THE TALES OF A WORLD IN NEED OF HEALING.
“With the world rapidly changing around us, and a surfacing sense of uncertainty in much of what we do, I assembled a new collection of poetry and writing to reflect just some of the many trials and tribulations that we as a world community are currently facing. Not without an injection of Love and hope scattered throughout this short telling of stories, ‘Some Time on Earth’ is led by pieces such as 'MAGA', 'Power to the People', and "I am Her', each with a voice speaking for those without.” - Author Note
‘Sugar’
A heartwarming story of love, forgiveness, friendship, and the power of hope.
With no certainty of love or a family to claim him, Poor Boy was destined to end up just as he'd come into the world...alone; until he met Hope. With their willingness to accept each other just as they were and their friendship quickly at the forefront, Hope secures a place in his heart and leads him on a journey in search of a miracle that will forever shape his life. With a short but complicated life surrounded by hardship, tough love, laughter, and warmheartedness, Poor Boy was a determined ten-year-old and thanks to his upbringing, stubborn enough to see things through.
“I started writing this story while I was still working on my first novel, 'Sweeping with God'. I had some nagging ideas which I didn't feel would fit in with what I was actively working on, so I decided to follow them and let the story guide me; which is generally how I write anyway and it worked out really well with this story. This was an amazing experience for me, one that I will always be thankful for, and the characters within were really fun to watch rub off on one another, as well as leave me with so much joy and affection for their story." - Author note
‘Revelation’
A collection of passionate poetry true to Kevin’s style.
Keeping with his passion for translating images and stories from around the world, this collection of poetry holds true to Kevin’s style. From the title poem ‘Revelation’, to ‘1200 Daughters’ and ‘Soul Music’, each piece delivers something special and unique to its reader.
"I put this collection together as a mixtape style release to accompany my first novel, 'Sweeping with God'. As most of my poetry is quite thought provoking and emotional, that too is the overall theme within this book. My experience with poetry is that although most people feel somewhat intimidated by it, for fear of not understanding, it's a great avenue to accompany truth and reach the heart." - Author note
‘Sweeping with God’
A journey back to love. A beautiful story about triumph, love, family, faith, and friendship.
After his family had suffered their greatest tragedy and all hope was lost, Tyler Hill was soon to find out just how close love really is. With the story set two years after the loss of a loved one and his family finding no light in their slow descent, Tyler, a once promising and hopeful seventeen-year-old, found change and a new sense of traction in hope through an unexpected friend.
"Much like all of my writing, this story is very dear to my heart; although it being my first novel it holds a special place within. I started writing this story with nothing more than the title and a feeling. I wanted to take what I've done for years with my poetry, visually and emotionally, and translate that into the span of time throughout a novel. I have a great affection for the human spirit and it interests me in how distant we can become from that when we suffer loss and begin to question or separate from love. It was my objective to unfold all of that and expose the characters to the possibilities of meeting love, once again, at the source...the heart. With a backdrop of some amazing music throughout this story, it truly was a beautiful experience to watch and take part in." - Author note
‘Love Grace & Sorrow in No Particular Order’
A book of poetry filled with stories of love, hope, and the resilience of the human spirit.
"Above everything else, I believe hope is our greatest bond and our most common companion. The purpose of my writing is to explore and expose that connection which we share as human beings. I put this collection of poetry together, choosing each piece in reflection to the moment it was created, as an offering of how I 'feel' the world, near or far. My writing has always been a mirror to what I feel may not be getting said, or more importantly, may not be heard. My poetry creates a voice for the unspoken words of those who may not always have a say." - Author note
